Sephora Wishlist: Fall 2014

Another season has come along and I have been switching up my outfits to go with the cool weather, but my beauty routine is still leaning towards summer. I have started wearing a few seasonal lipstick shades, such as these beautiful berry picks and these classic nude lipsticks, but that isn’t enough.  I’m ready for some Fall looks and new products to try, so naturally I’ve been browsing Sephora online in my spare time.

I have been eyeing so many pretty products lately and I just don’t know which ones to splurge on. My bank account says none but that probably won’t happen, so I want your help. Here are a few of the beauty products I have been daydreaming about, so if any of you have these items (or other suggestions) please share your thoughts in the comments. I need a full team of beauties to help me pick my next purchase!

Sephora Wishlist for Fall 2014

Sephora Wishlist for Fall 2014

1. Marc Jacobs Beauty Kiss Pop Color Stick, $35. First of all the packaging of this is beyond adorable! I can’t get over how cute and chic this looks. I love the little coloured tip to show the shade, and the silver tube is so stylish. I would love to walk around with one of the babies in my purse, but there are nine pretty shades and I can’t decide one which one I want. If you’ve tried one of these which shade do you like best?

2. Make Up For Ever Artist Palette, $48. I recently tried my first Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows and I fell in love, so now I want to try more shades. This palette has some great Fall colours that I could use for day and night looks.

3. Prada Candy Florale, $85. I love the original Prada Candy fragrance and I like florals, so this seems like a combination i would definitely enjoy. Plus I’m ready to switch up my Fall scent for something a little bolder.

4. Fresh Sugar Lip Polish, $26. Chapped lips aren’t cute so a lip polish would be great to gently exfoliate and keep my pucker smooth and soft. This sugar scrub has real brown sugar crystals and shea butter, so it helps nourish dry lips and refresh them.

5. Clinique Cheek Pop, $24. These blushes look so bold and bright, and the floral pattern is so cute. I have heard great things about these so I am definitely interested in trying one out.

There you have it, my wishlist for Fall. You can find all these products to browse at or buy for yourself at sephora.ca so check them out and tell me what you think! Have you tried any of these beauty products? I really want to hear your thoughts, or suggestions for other products, to switch up my Fall look. Leave a comment and let me know what you think of my picks!

Get the Look: Lucy Hale

Lucy Hale stars as the edgy Aria on Pretty Little Liars, has a growing country music career, and has phenomenal style that I totally want to steal. As a pint-sized beauty Lucy rocks some seriously cute outfits, on screen and off, but it’s her beauty looks that really blow me away. She always seems to have the hottest lipstick shade and her brows are so bold.

Whether it’s the hot pink blush and lips she rocked at the 2014 Billboard Music awards, shown above, or her signature lucious lashes, Lucy Hale always looks great. She plays up some pretty bold features like her brows, lips, or lashes, but she never seems overdone. Instead of the usual advice to focus on one feature at a time, Lucy shows us how to create a total bombshell look.

Hart of Dixie, starring Rachel Bilson

I just started binge-watching another show on Netflix and all I can focus on is the main character’s makeup. The show is Hart of Dixie, starring the adorable Rachel Bilson. Not only is she a total style icon (hello, dressy shorts!) but her makeup looks always make me want to press pause and whip out my eyeliner.

Rachel Bilson has brown hair and brown eyes, just like me, and I think that’s why I relate to her looks so much. I feel like I can actually try them myself. Jamie King, the other female lead in Hart of Dixie, is a blonde, blue-eyed beauty, and as much as I love her Southern belle looks, I know they would look much different on me.

After watching a few episodes (okay.. binge-watching season one in a few days) I have come to love the makeup looks Zoe Hart rocks. Even in a small town she has her eyeliner game on point and always has a great neutral lipstick. In addition to some great pictures of Dr. Zoe Hart, I’ve also complied a few products to help get the adorable, sassy, doe-eyed look that Rachel Bilson rocks on the show.

To get her heavily lined eye look I would recommend a smooth gel-like liner that is easy to blend and smudge. A great option for this is the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner. This creamy liner is a breeze to apply and can be blended for a smooth, smoky look.

For full lashes like Dr. Zoe Hart, try the Maybelline New York The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara. The curved brush gets every lash and the falsies-inspired formula offers lots of volume and length.

Dr. Zoe Hart always has glowing skin and you can get the same rosy glow and a subtle bronzing with one just product, Maybelline New York Dream Bouncy Blush in Coffee Cake. This golden-hued blush is a great way to add a slight highlight to cheekbones without going for a super-girly pink shade.

To get the neutral lip looks that Rachel rocks try one of the CoverGirl Jumbo Gloss Balms. These sheer gloss balms come in 16 pretty shades so you can find the perfect one for your everyday look. You can check out my review of them here for more information.

So there you have it. An easy how-to to get the adorable look that Dr. Zoe Hart, a.k.a. style icon Rachel Bilson, wears on Hart of Dixie. Now I’m only on season one so far so don’t tell me any spoilers but let me know if you watch this show too!

Get a Gorgeous Rosy Glow With The Benefit Cosmetics Best-Seller Benetint

Benetint is the best-selling rose-tinted lip and cheek stain from Benefit Cosmetics. This stain is a staple beauty product that every woman should try at least once in her life. It’s a go-to tint for rosy cheeks and red lips, which can be layered to get softer or deeper shades.

A light swipe of Benetint over bare lips can add a subtle red hint of colour, but a few more layers can provide a pretty red stain that lasts for hours. On cheeks it can be blended to give a light rosy glow, leaving cheeks looking naturally flushed.
If you haven’t tried it yet you are definitely missing out. I carry the travel sized bottle with me at all times for an easy flush of colour whenever I’m in need. Benetint sells for $36 at sephora.ca.

Happy Friday! Here’s My Latest Sephora Wishlist

It’s Friday and I am heading downtown for the weekend which means I get to do some serious shopping! I’ve had a Sephora gift card burning a hole in my wallet for the last few weeks and in honour of finally going to a Sephora store I have complied a few items that are on my wishlist for this weekend.

My Sephora Wishlist for March 2014

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara, $29. This classic mascara is one of my favourites but somehow I have been living off the mini travel sized ones. I’d love to finally get a real one and this might be the perfect opportunity.

Marc Jacobs Dot Rollerball, $30. I adore Dot and I think the ladybug themed bottle is just the cutest, but it’s unique shape makes it hard to travel with so a rollerball of this flirty scent would be perfect for the warmer weather coming up!

Nars Matte Multiple in Laos, $46. I am in love with all things matte and Laos is a pretty rose coral shade that would be great for an everyday look on either lips or cheeks.

Tarte Cheek Stain in Blissful, $36. I have yet to try a Tarte Cheek Stain but it’s been on my to-try list forever. Blissful is a warm peach shade that I think would be lovely for Spring.

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée in Poppy Paradise, $26. I have heard so much about these water-infused blushes and am absolutely dying to check one out.

I’m starting to see a theme here.. apparently I am going to be really into blush this month! Since March is just around the corner (as in this Saturday) I am definitely hoping to have a new blush for Spring. It seems like I have a few options above so we’ll see what my weekend shopping brings!

I don’t know about you but I can spend hours browsing sephora.ca and I always have a million things that catch my eye. With this wishlist in mind I hope to track down a few of the items and come back from the weekend with some new products to play with!

February 2014 Topbox Contents

The February 2014 Topbox is My Favourite One Yet

I’ve been a subscriber of Topbox for a few month now and have yet to be truly wowed by any boxes as a whole. Sure, there are product in each that I am really happy with, but as an entire box there has never been one with all items really impressing me. Until this month that is! The February 2014 Topbox is my favorite one I have ever received and I am so excited to show you what the products are.

You can subscribe to Topbox for $12/month, which is a really good price compared to some of the other beauty boxes out there.

This month the Topbox had an Essie nail polish which was a huge win right off the bat. Plus the colour was phenomenal – Head Mistress, a gorgeous raspberry red cream.I adore Essie polishes so this was pretty exciting to get in this month’s box. Plus Essie polishes retail for around $10 so it was almost the cost of the box by itself.

It also included an Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant which is something I have gotten in a previous Topbox and absolutely loved. I use this on my hands and they stay super moisturized and smooth for such a long time. I haven’t timed it to see it actually is 8 hours but hey, close enough! It feels super luxurious and has a bunch of other uses as well.

The next item is an Epic Blend Lip Balm which I haven’t heard of but after some quick research I saw some good reviews. I’ll have to give that a try to get my real opinion but in general I like lip balms and can never have enough of those so it seemed like a good product.

Last but not least is the So Susan Lip & Cheek Sublime. I’ve never heard of So Susan but I’m always up for a new lip colour to check out and if it doubles as a cheek stain then why not. It’s a pretty colour and I look forward to trying it out.

Overall this month the Topbox impressed me with my first look. Two of the four items I know I love so that is a great start, and the other two look pretty promising. Just when I was losing faith in Topbox it went and wowed me, so I might stick around a little longer with my subscription.

Did any of you get a Topbox this month? If so, what did you think of the products? Feel free to leave a comment and let me know!
