The triangular tube is great for holding the applicator tightly, and it gives strong control of the liner. With a calligraphy pen tip this works with the lightest touch. Once the liner is on it dries into a chic matte formula that lasts for hours with no smudging.

If you’re looking for a skinny line, super smooth application, and an amazing formula then look no further. The new Make Up For Ever Ink Liner will be available in January 2015 and is a must-have liner for the new year!

Add Some Sparkle to the Holiday Season With Revlon

One of my favourite things about the holiday season is the added sparkle to everything. From decorations to part dresses everything gets a little boost of bling this season, and your makeup should be no different. Revlon has an awesome limited edition line of sparkly eye shadows and liners to create eye-catching looks.

The limited edition Revlon Photoready Eye Art Lid + Line + Lash is a dual-ended product with a super sparkly liner matched with a creamy shadow. There are 10 colour duos to choose from and they all pack a punch of glitter and pigmented shadows. The shades I have are Fuchsia Flash and Cobalt Crystal.

The shadow end of the tube is a creamy formula that is easy to blend and very opaque. Many of the shades are frosty and metallic looking. The liner side is a glitter formula in a gel base, with a skinny brush for easy application. The pairs go well together but can also be mixed, matched, or worn individually.

Both ends of the product are super easy to apply and glide on really smoothly. They have great colour choices and all of them are bold and bright. I love that the glitter can be layered for lots of sparkle, or lightly applied for a more spread out sparkly look. The liner side can be used as a thin line of glitter or blended for all over sparkle. It can even be applied to lashes for something really special.

The shadows have a great formula and last for quite a long time. I didn’t have any problems with creasing or flaking when I wore the shadow. I love that the duos are paired together so I can grab one product and know that it will work well together and create a complete look. Although the shades are pretty bold and bright, and maybe not for everyday wear, they are awesome for a special night out or a holiday event and I will definitely be reaching for them this season!

The Body Shop 2-In-1 Smoky Gel Liner & Brow Definer Is My New Obsession

I am not an eyeliner girl at all. I have zero artistic skill and cannot manage to draw a straight line for the life of me. Gel liners, liquid liners, you name it and I’ve tried it. I just can never seem to master the simple flick of a cat eye or steady my hand for a swipe of liner. That all changed with the new gel liner from The Body Shop.

The Body Shop 2-In-1 Smoky Gel Liner & Brow Definer is a gel formula that is enriched with Community Fair Trade Marula Oil. It can be used for eyes or brows, but since I never touch my brows I’m only focusing on the liner use. It comes in black and brown, both classic shades. The formula is smooth and creamy, and it applies so easily.

The packaging is really cool too. The brush is hidden in the cap and can be attached to the cap to create a handle. The brush part is actually more of a rounded brush point so it can be used along the side edge for a skinny look or the flat side for a thicker, wider look.

The liner lasts for quite a long time. I love that because once I get it right once it will stay all day and I don’t need to reapply. Although I typically struggle with any and all eyeliner, this one is different. I was able to do a perfect swipe along my lash line with no smudging, no missing spots, no problems at all. It takes me a matter of seconds and the result looks great and lasts for hours. What more could you want in an eye liner?

I can’t believe how easy this is to use. I’ve been wearing it every day and am amazed at how great this product is. I never used to think of The Body Shop for makeup but now I’m pretty enticed. If this was so great then I’m sure there must be other cosmetics I’ll enjoy too. Revlon Jet Set Into Fall: Get The London Look

Revlon Jet Set For Fall: The London Look

All of the products needed for the Revlon Jet Set For Fall: The London Look

Revlon has a bunch of great (and affordable) makeup products but sometimes it can be tricky to pull it all together into a look. Luckily for us the awesome Revlon team has come up with some city-inspired looks that can give you the hottest trends for Fall in just a few simple steps. The looks are themed after famous travel destinations like London, Paris, and New York. I have the London look to share with you today, and it’s definitely something I can rock anywhere I am this season!

Be a London Lady

To get the London Lady look it’s an intense smokey eye paired with a natural lip. This is a trend that never goes out of style so you can rock this long after Fall. The products featured in this look are the following, and I have reviewed each one individually:

Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Onyx and Gunmetal: These shadows come in little blocks that can be linked together to create your own custom palette. The shimmer in both Onyx and Gunmetal is to die for, and although they don’t last for hours the colours are really great. I would recommend a primer underneath to make these shadows stick around, but these shades are probably two of the best ones in the ShadowLinks lineup.

Revlon ColorStay Skinny Liquid Liner: For a super thin eyeliner this is the one to try. It has a tapered tip that pffers precision and fine lines, so your smokey eye will be perfectly defined.

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara: I just reviewed this one last week and am still in love with how quick and easy it is to apply. This makes a great everyday mascara but can be amped up with the rest of the smoky eye look to create more dramatic and dark lashes. You can read my full review on the mascara here.

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in London Posh: I’ve tried these in a few different shades, which you can check out here. London Posh is a gorgeous peach shade that has a subtle gold shimmer to it. It feels smooth and soft on the lips and offers a hydrating stain with lots of shine.

To add to your look you can try the Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Polish in High Stakes, a bright teal shade, or All Or Nothing, a pretty soft pink.

The recommended London look is a bold smoky eye and neutral lip, which is a classic combination no matter where you are. Day or night, Fall or Summer, London or Paris – this look is one that I will be rocking all the time thanks to Revlon!

Hart of Dixie, starring Rachel Bilson

I just started binge-watching another show on Netflix and all I can focus on is the main character’s makeup. The show is Hart of Dixie, starring the adorable Rachel Bilson. Not only is she a total style icon (hello, dressy shorts!) but her makeup looks always make me want to press pause and whip out my eyeliner.

Rachel Bilson has brown hair and brown eyes, just like me, and I think that’s why I relate to her looks so much. I feel like I can actually try them myself. Jamie King, the other female lead in Hart of Dixie, is a blonde, blue-eyed beauty, and as much as I love her Southern belle looks, I know they would look much different on me.

After watching a few episodes (okay.. binge-watching season one in a few days) I have come to love the makeup looks Zoe Hart rocks. Even in a small town she has her eyeliner game on point and always has a great neutral lipstick. In addition to some great pictures of Dr. Zoe Hart, I’ve also complied a few products to help get the adorable, sassy, doe-eyed look that Rachel Bilson rocks on the show.

To get her heavily lined eye look I would recommend a smooth gel-like liner that is easy to blend and smudge. A great option for this is the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner. This creamy liner is a breeze to apply and can be blended for a smooth, smoky look.

For full lashes like Dr. Zoe Hart, try the Maybelline New York The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara. The curved brush gets every lash and the falsies-inspired formula offers lots of volume and length.

Dr. Zoe Hart always has glowing skin and you can get the same rosy glow and a subtle bronzing with one just product, Maybelline New York Dream Bouncy Blush in Coffee Cake. This golden-hued blush is a great way to add a slight highlight to cheekbones without going for a super-girly pink shade.

To get the neutral lip looks that Rachel rocks try one of the CoverGirl Jumbo Gloss Balms. These sheer gloss balms come in 16 pretty shades so you can find the perfect one for your everyday look. You can check out my review of them here for more information.

So there you have it. An easy how-to to get the adorable look that Dr. Zoe Hart, a.k.a. style icon Rachel Bilson, wears on Hart of Dixie. Now I’m only on season one so far so don’t tell me any spoilers but let me know if you watch this show too!
