Organix Nourishing Coconut Oil

Do you like coconut? Do you dislike dry ends?

If you answered yes to these questions then I have the perfect hair oil for you.
The Organix Nourishing Coconut Oil has been my miracle product this winter. With the cold weather and crazy wind, I find my hair gets dry and frizzy the minute I step outside. My split ends get worse and the wear and tear on my strands causes some serious damage. I haven’t yet ventured into the world of hair masks, but hair oil is my new best friend.

Sometimes hair oil can be a total disaster, like last week when I tried a really thick one that left my hair greasy and gross. Luckily my go-to oil is a lot lighter and I never overdo it.

The Organix Nourishing Coconut Oil is light and easy to apply, and doesn’t leave my hair looking stringy, greasy, or wet. I spray about 5 pumps into my palm and ten rub my hands together and through my hair. I try to give some extra attention to the ends. I happen to love coconut scents so the refreshing smell of this is perfect for me. It reminds me of being on a tropical vacation or sitting on a beach with a Pina Colada in hand.

This hair oil smells incredible (if you like coconut) and works like a charm. It smoothes my frizz, fights my dry ends, but doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it look oily at all. It’s the perfect combination and has become my go-to hair product this season.

Check Out My Ombre Hair ft. L’Oreal Paris Wild Ombre

A few days ago I got to attend an amazing beauty blogger event hosted by L’Oreal at the amazing Del Monaco Hair Studio downtown Toronto. Eric Del Monaco (Official Hair Artist & Colourist for L’Oreal Paris) provided me with a personalized ombre look using the L’Oreal Paris Feria Wild Ombre kit in shade 050.

After Eric chose the ombre shade for my new look, it was applied to each layer of hair using the brush in the kit. On the top layer of hair the stylist used a super cute finger brush from the L’Oreal Paris Superior Preference Ombre Touch kit. This tiny brush allows for small pieces of hair to be highlighted with the ombre colour, which offers a more subtle look instead of the dramatic ends. I had a few pieces done framing my face to blend into my ombre ends.

My colour stayed on for about 30 minutes and was then washed and conditioned using the special colouring products included in the kit. Once it was dried I had the pleasure of having it professionally curled, and it turned out so pretty! My ombre look ended up being a pretty golden colour that blended in well with my dark brown hair.

My finished look!

I absolutely love the finished result and had such a wonderful time at the event. I got to chat with other beauty bloggers too. I will definitely be picking up another ombre kit in a few months when my hair grows out a bit more – this was super quick and easy to do and gave great results!

L'Oreal Paris OleoTherapy Hair Care

A 100% Vegan Hair Mask? Yup, L’Oreal Paris Made It Happen

Have any of you heard of the new L’Oreal Paris OleoTherapy hair care line? It has some seriously amazing products and smells incredible. The OleoTherapy line uses 6 flower oils to help bring life back into dry or damaged hair. It has a lovely shampoo and conditioner which smell great and left my hair super smooth and silky, as well as a really exciting hair mask.

The OleoTherapy hair mask is 100% vegan and is absolutely wonderful. I love hair masks and I happen to be a vegetarian so this seemed like a match made in hair care heaven. And it was. This mask made my tangled long locks super silky and so easy to brush, which is normally not the case. It left my hair really shiny and soft as well, which I got comments on from a few friends I met up with today.

My hair feels restored and full instead of dry and frizzy. I love the feel of my hair and the scent is really light and summery too. The products are sulfate free and designed to help recover damaged hair. There are a few other treatment products besides the mask, including a Self-Heating Hot Oil Intense Repair Treatment. All of the items int he collection that i have tried have given great results and I definitely plan to try the other treatments soon.
