The Best Fall Scent You’ll Ever Find: Demeter Apple Pie

Apple pie is a classic treat in the crisp Fall weather, and the smell of a yummy pie fresh from the oven is one of the best of the season. What if you could get that delicious scent in seconds, with no oven or baking supplies required? Well good news – you can!

Demeter Fragrance Library is known for incredible singular scents ranging from classic to crazy, and they have the most amazing Apple Pie fragrance ever. I recently posted about some yummy summer scents from Demeter, which you can read about here, but I am now officially into Fall fragrances.

Demeter Fragrance Library Apple Pie Cologne Spray

Apple Pie smells like a perfect blend of pastry, fresh apples, and spices. I wasn’t sure how well this dessert would translate into a spray, but this one captures it exactly. I can smell the delicious combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, apples, and sugar, and I really can notice each ingredient on it’s own. It comes together in a warm sweet scent that isn’t too strong or overpowering. I was worried it would just smell like apples or have a hint of cinnamon, but if you closed your eyes and spritzed it you would think there was a pie in the oven.

There’s nothing subtle about this scent and I am sure it will be a hit when my boyfriend smells it. It’s yummy, sugary, but not too sweet, and has the perfect hit of crisp green apple. It’s hard to explain fragrances but I kid you not, the Apple Pie scent from Demeter is the most realistic and mouthwatering scent. You can read more about it or order it online here at demeterfragrance.com.

I can’t stop spritzing this, it’s so good!

Bring Back The Scent of Summer With These Delicious Demeter Fragrances

It’s three weeks into September and I am still day dreaming of a warm beach and iced coffee. I don’t think I’ve accepted Fall yet, and to combat my denial I have been turning to some sweet summer scents that almost make me believe I’m actually at a beach.
Demeter Fragrances: Vanilla Ice Cream, Pistachio Ice Cream, Orange Blossom & Mojito

In case you aren’t familiar with the Demeter Fragrance Library, it is a huge collection of crazy amazing scents. Some of them are strictly crazy (for example Glue and Sawdust) but most of them are downright delicious! You can check out all of the scents here.
To bring back the scent of summer I’ve been spritzing these yummy scents:

Pistachio Ice Cream, a blend of sweet and nutty scents that combines in the most delicious, and mouth-watering, way. It doesn’t smell like the plain nut but it totally smells like the ice cream. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this scent since it is such an odd concept, but it really works!
Vanilla Ice Cream, a warm, sweet scent that will evoke visions of ice cream shops and sprinkles. This is almost a classic vanilla fragrance but there’s a little extra something special.
Orange Blossom, another bright scent that brings out a fruity light fragrance. This is like any classic orange scent but just a hint sweeter and less citrus-like.
Mojito, a fresh and bright combination of citrus and mint that smells as good as the drink. If you want something light and refreshing this will hit the spot perfectly. The lime isn’t too overwhelming and it balances nicely with the mint. Not too sweet or fruity.

These scents have been helping me get through the start of Fall, but pretty soon I will be ready for some yummy seasonal fragrances like Pumpkin Pie and Candy Cane Truffle. Demeter has a huge array of delicious and unique scents so you’re sure to find one to fit every mood, season, and personality!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

I’m already a huge fan of Marc Jacobs Dot and Marc Jacobs Honey, and of course Marc Jacobs Daisy, so when I heard about the new scent, Daisy Dream, I got really excited!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream is a bright floral and fruity scent that is super feminine and delicate. It isn’t too strong and it has some really great notes within the scent. Below is the description of Daisy Dream.

The fruity-floral fragrance has a light and airy touch, bursting with top notes of blackberry, grapefruit, and pear. The heart notes are introduced with a bouquet of jasmine, lychee, and blue wisteria, and a medley of white woods, musks, and coconut water reveal the base notes.

I can definitely detect the grapefruit and pear top notes and the jasmine heart notes. The white woods, musks, and coconut water base note leaves a lasting scent that is gentle and pleasing. I continually asked my boyfriend for his opinion on this scent throughout the day and he genuinely liked it. He even notice the difference from when I originally sprayed it to a few hours later when it had dried down a little.

Overall this is such a lovely and girly scent that I will be reaching for again and again. It’s soft for summer but I can see myself wearing it in the Fall to bring back some light summer memories and wake up in the colder weather.

Happy Friday! Here’s My Latest Sephora Wishlist

It’s Friday and I am heading downtown for the weekend which means I get to do some serious shopping! I’ve had a Sephora gift card burning a hole in my wallet for the last few weeks and in honour of finally going to a Sephora store I have complied a few items that are on my wishlist for this weekend.

My Sephora Wishlist for March 2014

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara, $29. This classic mascara is one of my favourites but somehow I have been living off the mini travel sized ones. I’d love to finally get a real one and this might be the perfect opportunity.

Marc Jacobs Dot Rollerball, $30. I adore Dot and I think the ladybug themed bottle is just the cutest, but it’s unique shape makes it hard to travel with so a rollerball of this flirty scent would be perfect for the warmer weather coming up!

Nars Matte Multiple in Laos, $46. I am in love with all things matte and Laos is a pretty rose coral shade that would be great for an everyday look on either lips or cheeks.

Tarte Cheek Stain in Blissful, $36. I have yet to try a Tarte Cheek Stain but it’s been on my to-try list forever. Blissful is a warm peach shade that I think would be lovely for Spring.

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée in Poppy Paradise, $26. I have heard so much about these water-infused blushes and am absolutely dying to check one out.

I’m starting to see a theme here.. apparently I am going to be really into blush this month! Since March is just around the corner (as in this Saturday) I am definitely hoping to have a new blush for Spring. It seems like I have a few options above so we’ll see what my weekend shopping brings!

I don’t know about you but I can spend hours browsing sephora.ca and I always have a million things that catch my eye. With this wishlist in mind I hope to track down a few of the items and come back from the weekend with some new products to play with!
