Revlon Jet Set Into Fall: Get The London Look

Revlon Jet Set For Fall: The London Look

All of the products needed for the Revlon Jet Set For Fall: The London Look

Revlon has a bunch of great (and affordable) makeup products but sometimes it can be tricky to pull it all together into a look. Luckily for us the awesome Revlon team has come up with some city-inspired looks that can give you the hottest trends for Fall in just a few simple steps. The looks are themed after famous travel destinations like London, Paris, and New York. I have the London look to share with you today, and it’s definitely something I can rock anywhere I am this season!

Be a London Lady

To get the London Lady look it’s an intense smokey eye paired with a natural lip. This is a trend that never goes out of style so you can rock this long after Fall. The products featured in this look are the following, and I have reviewed each one individually:

Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Onyx and Gunmetal: These shadows come in little blocks that can be linked together to create your own custom palette. The shimmer in both Onyx and Gunmetal is to die for, and although they don’t last for hours the colours are really great. I would recommend a primer underneath to make these shadows stick around, but these shades are probably two of the best ones in the ShadowLinks lineup.

Revlon ColorStay Skinny Liquid Liner: For a super thin eyeliner this is the one to try. It has a tapered tip that pffers precision and fine lines, so your smokey eye will be perfectly defined.

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara: I just reviewed this one last week and am still in love with how quick and easy it is to apply. This makes a great everyday mascara but can be amped up with the rest of the smoky eye look to create more dramatic and dark lashes. You can read my full review on the mascara here.

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in London Posh: I’ve tried these in a few different shades, which you can check out here. London Posh is a gorgeous peach shade that has a subtle gold shimmer to it. It feels smooth and soft on the lips and offers a hydrating stain with lots of shine.

To add to your look you can try the Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Polish in High Stakes, a bright teal shade, or All Or Nothing, a pretty soft pink.

The recommended London look is a bold smoky eye and neutral lip, which is a classic combination no matter where you are. Day or night, Fall or Summer, London or Paris – this look is one that I will be rocking all the time thanks to Revlon!

My one minute eye shadow trick for a smoky eye

This little trick was a total accident but it worked like a charm. I used the new Maybelline New York Color Tattoo Leather 24HR Eyeshadow in the shade Deep Forest and accidentally gave myself an instant smoky eye. I got so many compliments on my eye makeup that day and it was one of the simplest looks I’ve ever done.

Here’s what happened: I had some black eyeliner on from the day before (but you can use fresh liner too!) and I quickly smudged the Color Tattoo over my whole lid, covering up some of the liner. Deep Forest is a greige-green shade and the part over the black liner got a littler darker. I blended it over my whole lid using my fingers and then dabbed a little bit more on my crease. Since this shadow can be layered it made the crease darker, the lid fairly neutral, and the part over the liner was smokier.

I’m already a fan of the Maybelline Color Tattoo shadows but this one was really great. I never would have imagined such a good look from this shadow because it looks fairly plain in the pot. It ended up being quite versatile and the colourwas great to build on for different opacity.

With a bit of mascara I was good to go (and in a rush) but somehow my quick fix to cover up old liner made some sort of smoky eye look that worked. I got a bunch of compliments at work that day and it was such a simple look. Having one great shadow that can be used in multiple ways is a huge time-saver and great multi-purpose product. I will definitely be using this Colour Tattoo again to recreate the look, this time on purpose!

Saturday Decisions: Smoky Eyes or a Bold Lip?

Whenever I get ready for a night out I always have a tough decision to make…what makeup will I wear?

I’m a believer of accenting one feature at a time, so I always have to pick between a bold lip colour or some intense eye makeup. Sometimes I can pull off both if it’s for a big event or something, but on the average Saturday night I like to pick just one thing to emphasize.

I wanted to ask you beauties what you think of this dilemma. Do you go for a smoky eye on a Saturday night or do you prefer to focus on a bold lip?

I really want to hear your opinions so please leave a comment with your thoughts!
